The inscriptions are taken from F. Sharpe The Church Bells of Oxfordshire. He visited the tower in 1951.

Frame: Cast-iron 'H' frame(4,5,7,8) below, side-pattern frame(1,2,3,6) above.
Gear: Cast-iron headstocks, Fixed steel gudgeons, Self-aligning ball-bearings, Traditional English-type wheels, Traditional stays(1,2) Hastings-type stays, Taylor 1931/White 1994. Old oak frame 4-tier (6 at bottom; 3-5; 1; 2).
