Index to Founders’ marks and borders

The index lists photographs and line diagrams of about 300 marks and borders cast on bells within the Oxford Diocese.

Diagrams scanned in from F.Sharpe, 'The Church bells of Oxfordshire' are accessible by page number which shows all the marks on a given page arranged one per line, letters A to V, which correspond to the page numbers for the figures in the book. These marks are referred to using black text in founders’ pages.

Diagrams scanned in from F.Sharpe, 'The Church bells of Berkshire' can been seen on page X; these diagrams are referred to using Blue text when they are shown in founders pages.

Diagrams scanned in from A.H.Cocks, 'The Church bells of Buckinghamshire' are stored on two pages, page W and page Y. When these marks are shown on founders’ pages they are referred to using red text.

All marks are accessible by foundry name. This display lists several marks in a line. Similar marks are listed together, regardless of the page on which they were printed. No attempt has been made to remove duplicate marks.
