  1. The Bowell foundry records state that the third of the old six (i.e. fifth of the present eight) was the bell recast by them. A note added later by Alfred Bowell’s son states that the trebles were added by Taylors.
  2. the * symbols on the fourth and tenor are double triangles but from different stamps.
  3. The “D” in “GOD” on the seventh is reversed.
