Peal Boards in the Oxford Diocese

There are several parts to this page:
 

Peals rung alphabetically by tower

  • Appleford - a 720 carved into window frame
  • Appleton - early peals and a record long length
  • Bradfield - first woman to ring in a peal in the ODG, she later became the first bride to call her own 'wedding peal'
  • Drayton - where the 1000th peal was rung by the first person to achieve this.
  • Great Tew - Masters Peal it better 2003
  • Harwell - 1st peal after augmentation to 8 bells in 1932
  • Iffley - 1st 720 rung by O.U.S.C.R with 2 Troytes in the band
  • Kirtlington - several early peals rung before 1900
  • Long Crendon - A peal of Grandsire Triples with all the ringers surnamed Shrimpton in 1834
  • Oxford Cathedral - many peals including one on a jug
  • Reading - Guild 125th Anniversary peal by Officials
  • Stanton Harcourt - New Treble Bob in 1833
