This page addresses aspects of the Branch which directly concern, or may be of interest to, young people. Bellringing is an activity and a fellowship in which people of all ages are made equally welcome. Right-thinking ringers respect others for their efforts and abilities, and not merely for their seniority. Young people are the future of bellringing, and this is reflected in the way many ringers strive to train and encourage our younger members. To ensure that the interests of younger ringers are properly addressed, the Officers of the Reading Branch include a Youth Representative. Ringers under the age of 21 are invited to stand for election to this post at the AGM. The Oxford Diocesan Guild also appoints a Children's Officer. From time to time, ringing activities are arranged specifically for young people, such as:
