AGM 2022

The 2022 Guild Annual General Meeting and Eight-Bell Striking Competition will be hosted by the Reading Branch on Saturday 21st May.

The paperwork for the AGM business is below, at the end of this webpage.

This will be a great opportunity to meet up with fellow ringers, hear some excellent ringing in the competition, ring these bells yourself and get to hear what is happening to ringing in the Diocese these days – all in the setting of this charming town on the banks of the Thames.

The Competition will be held at Goring on Thames, St Thomas of Canterbury (8), 8-0-21 RG8 9DR starting at about 1:15 pm.

The AGM will be held in the Canterbury Room at 4:15 pm, during which the results of the competition will also be announced. This hall is next to the church.

Tea, coffee, soft drinks, biscuits and cakes will be available in the Canterbury Room throughout the competition leading up to the AGM.

The bells will be available for general ringing after the AGM.

Parking – Wheel Orchard Car Park (RG8 9HB) is nearby and is the main car park.  However, there is some street parking mainly in Manor Road, Thames Road and Streatley High Street. Although there are others. If all else fails, there is a car park at the railway station.

Apologies for absence for the AGM to Ken Darvill (secretary@odg.org.uk), please.
