You are all warmly invited to attend the March 2023 General Committee (GC) Meeting (3pm) which follows the Oxford Diocesan Bell Fund (ODBF) AGM (2.45pm) on Saturday 11th March 2023. The GC meeting and ODBF AGM will both be held in the Village Hall, North Moreton, OX11 9AS.
There will be ringing from 2pm (ahead of the meetings) at All Saints Church, North Moreton, OX11 9BA which is a short walk from the Village Hall.
Refreshments (in the Village Hall) will be available from 2pm. There will be drinks plus sandwiches and cakes available at the end of the meeting too. Please can members give their names for the tea by emailing gillianloyd@gmail.com.
Do take the opportunity to ring the North Moreton bells at some point in the 45 minutes before the meeting. We cannot ring after the meetings due to neighbour considerations. This will probably be the last chance for the Guild to ring on the six bells before they are augmented to 8 (hopefully in April). North Moreton will be the first tower within the Diocese to receive two newly cast bells with the King and Queen cyphers, hopefully installed in time for the Coronation ringing. This will mean that the peal of 8 will consist of bells cast during the reigns of Edward III, Kings Charles I, II and III, George IV and Queen Elizabeth I and II. I have attached a file that tells you more about the bells. The Guild will provide someone to run the ringing as the local tower captain will be helping at the Village Hall.

Open in new tab Parking: The car park is accessed from the bottom of Bear Lane. Strictly no parking on Bear Lane itself. Accessibility: Drop off for those with accessibility needs is outside the village hall, there is ramped access to the hall. There are disabled toilets in both the church and village hall. A portable sound system with 2 roving mics will be used but there is no Loop facility. The acoustics are considered good in the village hall.
