It has been many months since we have been able to present membership certificates to new ringers and one young ringer in particular has been very patient.  Tobias Haseldine, 9, is now a member of the Sunday Service band at Long Crendon and watching him make progress we know that it will not take too long before he is able to turn in the tenor, just like his Dad, James, and Grandfather, Andrew.

So, on a Sunday lunchtime, a picnic was arranged in his grandparents’ garden and, unbeknown to Tobias, a presentation ceremony was organised.  Tobias was warmly welcomed into the Guild – the Master wearing the regalia, just to make it a really special occasion – and all the Long Crendon band there to cheer him.

Jane, Tobias’ younger sister, is also being taught to ring, but is a little camera shy!
