Oxon Ringing School’s Latest Level 1 success
Stonesfield ringer Michael Sofroniou passed his ART Learning the Ropes Level 1 assessment at Witney Ringing Centre at the end of March. Michael and his wife Ray, have been attending Ringing School handling sessions since spring 2023 and we are delighted at his achievement.
Michael shared his experience of ORS: “When we started to learn bell ringing we would go to tower practices in our area but only got short turns to have a go. The Oxfordshire Ringing School has been a lifesaver. Under the patient guidance of so many different teachers who each have huge expertise, we have slowly gained confidence and some skill. Having a full hour of one to one teaching has been invaluable and every teacher has something to contribute. Without our lessons we wouldn’t have come so far so quickly”.
